There is no other place I’d rather be than teaching and learning with my girls. Iowa


In Iowa, Charles Floyd, of the Corps of Discovery was the first and only member of the expedition to die on the journey.  He died of a ruptured appendix

Iowa is known as the Hawkeye State.
The state motto is Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain.
It was the 29th state to join the union on December 28, 1846.
